Disaster Relief for Marshall Fire Victims Our family here at Greeley Nissan is heartbroken by all of the damage our neighbors in Boulder County experienced during the Marshall Fire on December 30, 2021. Living in Colorado, natural disasters are, unfortunately, not an uncommon sight. We've all seen many wildfires create devastation in their paths over the years. While it’s never easy to see, this most recent one hitting such highly populated neighborhoods during the holiday season, was even more difficult to witness. Our hearts are with the towns of Superior and Lafayette as they rebuild. We are overjoyed to see the way the community has come together. Most organizations couldn't even accept donations within days of the events because they were flooded with generosity! Still, many of our neighbors lost everything and nothing can bring back the memories and sentimental items lost in those homes. However, Nissan would like to lend a helping hand to those whose vehicles were damaged or destroyed. Through Nissan's Disaster Relief Program, individuals and businesses impacted will be able to take advantage of VPP employee pricing on Nissan vehicles. If a vehicle has been damaged or deemed a total loss, individuals and businesses can receive this discounted pricing typically reserved for Nissan employees and their families. It's our way of saying you're family too, and we're here to help in any small way we can. There is no good time to experience this type of tragedy, but for those who will need to replace their vehicles, now is a particularly challenging time due to the nationwide vehicle inventory shortage. Our hope is that this discounted employee pricing will be of some assistance to those who are trying to rebuild and get some small parts of their life back to normal. Greeley Nissan was a proud supporter of the Weld County Fair's Junior Livestock Sale again this year! We love attending this event and supporting the hardworking kids from 4H and FFA (Future Farmers of America). The kids learn discipline and practical life skills by working very hard year round to raise quality livestock. In turn, local businesses and individuals come together to purchase these animals from them. For the majority of these kids, that money goes into a college fund, so they can further their education. These great kids develop confidence, leadership skills, and learn the payoff of hard work. We're happy to be a part of that and plan to do so for years to come! We are very excited to announce that Greeley Nissan has received a grant from the Colorado Energy office through the Charge Ahead Colorado program! Our ongoing commitment to Electric Vehicle adoption has given us the opportunity to partner with CEO on expanding EV charging throughout the state of Colorado! We are using these grant funds to install a new Level 3 EV charging station at our dealership. As our local EV drivers may know, our previous Level 3 charging station has recently gone out of commission, so having a new one installed will be a huge benefit to our community! As a dealership that cares about the environment, we want to make it as easy as possible for people to make the switch to America’s best selling EV, the 100% electric Nissan LEAF. We know that convenient and fast charging stations are the key to making the switch from gas to electric a seamless one. The addition of a new, state of the art, fast charger on site will make a huge difference in the lives of current and future EV drivers and we are proud to be a part of that. We plan to have the new charging station installed and open to the public before Jan. 31, 2019. It will be available for use 24/7. Stay tuned for updates on this project.
